📍 Farmer Focus — U.S.
In 2025, a whistleblower report was released that revealed workers roughly handling birds at a company that sells all of its chicken products as Halal Certified and Certified Humane. Its products are sold at major stores across the U.S. According to the whistleblower:
- Workers allegedly “slammed” birds’ legs into shackles (see above left)
- The birds' wings and legs were bruised, broken, and dislocated.
- Chickens were stressed, flapping, and struggling upon arrival to the slaughterhouse.

In 2025, an investigation was released that revealed shocking cruelty and animal suffering at T&S Abattoir in England.
- Workers played audio of wolf sounds as they killed animals.
- Animals were shoved, dragged, and hit before workers killed them.
- Animals were slammed with a gate.
- Workers threw animals to the floor.
- Animals watched as workers killed animals in front of them.
- Animals screamed, struggled, and kicked for several moments as they bled to death. Some fell to the ground from their leg shackle overhead, while others tried to run away.

📍 Seven Halal Slaughterhouses — Indonesia
In 2021, investigators visited SEVEN slaughterhouses in Indonesia and observed workers prodding animals with steel, yanking their tails and breaking bones. Animals kicked, struggled, and gasped for air as they bled to death, some for up to 13 minutes. All seven facilities were halal-certified and produced meat and leather products.
📍 Superior Farms — Largest Lamb Producer in U.S.
In 2024, an investigation exposed horrific violence against animals at the largest producer of lamb in the U.S.
- Workers hit and kicked lambs and grabbed them by their ear and tail.
- Workers slammed lambs to the floor.
- Workers forcibly dragged injured animals.
- Workers laughed and spanked animals. They also simulated sex acts.
- Lambs gasped and thrashed around after workers cut their necks multiple times.

In 2017, Animal Outlook released an investigation into another Superior Farms facility in California.
- Workers repeatedly electrocuted lambs.
- A dog bit the lambs.
- Workers violently handled the lambs.
- The lambs kicked and struggled in pain as they bled to death.
📍 Ain Sokhna Abattoir — Egypt

An investigation into the halal slaughterhouse in Ain Sokhna, Egypt revealed shocking violence and cruelty.
- Panicked animals thrashed in the kill boxes as they bled to death.
- Animals kicked and struggled for their life as they bled out while they were shackled upside down.
- Workers hit and stabbed animals on the kill floor.

📍 Snowtown Abattoir — Australia
In 2023, an investigation revealed terrified goats, sheep, and other animals crying out and struggling as they bled to death.
- Workers slashed animals' throats in front of other animals waiting in line.
- Workers forcibly dragged animals who cowered in fear.
- Workers stepping on animals as they thrashed around after their throats were slashed.
- A baby goat who struggled to stand while a dead baby lay next to him.
📍 Sheik Halal Farms — Canada
Investigators documented horrifying violence and animal suffering at a halal chicken slaughterhouse in Canada.
- The birds were crammed in overcrowded crates during their journey to the slaughterhouse. The chickens, who were unable to stand or even move around, were "caked in fecal matter, urine, and blood" in the crates.
- Workers stepped on the birds' crates and roughly handled them.
- Workers slaughtered birds with injuries and possible infections.
- Terrified chickens flapped their wings and struggled as they slowly died while hanging upside down.
- Some of the chickens lifted their heads to avoid the bath of electrified water.
Sometimes the Halal guy's here and sometimes he's not. So, I don't know how Halal they really are.

At a slaughterhouse in Yorkshire, England, investigators observed workers taunting terrified animals and violently handling them.
- Workers kicked animals in the face and threw them around by their legs, necks, and ears.
- Workers waved knives at sheep and smacked and shouted at them to taunt them.
- Workers laughed at animals as they bled to death and painted at least one sheep around the eyes as she died.
📍 Halal Farms USA — U.S.
In 2023, a federal report revealed that a truck driver electroshocked a cow who collapsed and kicked her three times while another worker yanked her up by the nose.
In 2022, federal records revealed an instance when goats had no water to drink at the facility in Illinois, United States. The same records also revealed a goat walked away while bleeding to death.
📍 Simply Halal — England
In 2016, undercover footage from an investigation revealed sheep crammed on a conveyor belt, workers roughly handling sheep, and sheep thrashing around as they hung shackled from the ceiling. One animal jumps and falls to the ground after a worker slashed their throat.
📍 Dillsburg Halal Meat — U.S.
In 2022, federal records exposed the following incident at Dillsburg Halal Meat in Pennsylvania:
"A lamb was hoisted, and the ritual cut was performed. After only a few seconds and while the lamb was still paddling and breathing, a separate employee from the one who performed the ritual cut made eye contact with the Food Inspector (FI), smiled, and proceeded the kick the lamb very hard in the nose. The lamb flinched in reaction to the impact. The FI informed the employee that this behavior was unacceptable, at which point the establishment employee began laughing."
